US Airways Group, Inc. is the parent
corporation for US Airways mainline jet and express divisions as
well as several related companies, all in the air transportation
industry. From the company's beginnings in 1939 as All-American
Aviation, Inc., the present-day US Airways is the inheritor of a
number of famous names in U.S. aviation. US Airways has been an
aviation innovator, particularly in the building of alliances.
As the main operating arm of US Airways Group, US Airways has
almost 301 aircrafts, operating more than 3,701 flights daily,
carrying an average of more than 120,000 passengers.
